Kicking Horse Ski Holidays
Kicking Horse is part of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort which is located about 20 minutes drive out of the town of Golden in the province of British Columbia.
The nearest international airport is Calgary International YYC and the travel time is approximately 3.5-4 hours onboard the scheduled airport transfer service.
It is situated on the eastern slopes of the Purcell Mountain Range in the region known as Kicking Horse Country. This ideal situation allows the ski resort to receive light, dry snow know as "Champagne Powder" in the winter time and offers 1,260 m (4,134 ft) of vertical.
Kicking Horse is also located about 2-2.5 hours away from the new Revelstoke Ski Resort and you can get there from Kicking Horse on a ski day trip onboard the Revelstoke Ski Bus.
Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is surrounded by six national parks: Yoho, Kootenay, Glacier and Mt. Revelstoke, Jasper and Banff.
