There are two snowshoe tours to choose from out of Calgary. Both snowshoe tours venture into the snowy Kananaskis Country.
Please dress in ski wear for this trip including hats, gloves, winter trousers and winter boots.
Explore Kananaskis Country the way the fur traders and original settlers did in snowshoes.
You will start with your guide at Upper Kananaskis Lake and head along the south shore. The trail will cross the creek and you will see the beautiful Sarrail Falls.
The trail branches away from the lake leading you through an old growth spruce forest to a hidden lake.
You will start with your guide at the Mount Shark parking lot and follow an old logging road which winds through the heart of the Mount Shark ski trails to Watridge Lake.
From the lake you will head up to one of North America’s largest mineral springs.
Don’t forget your camera as the views in the Spray Lakes area are breathtaking.
